University Ambassadors

I glad to say that I am one of the “Forty Faces of Texas State.” I love giving campus tours to prospective students and I love telling them about all the facts about Texas State. After joining UA, I had fallen head over heels with Texas State and I enjoy talking about. It’s a great organization to be part of and I can’t wait to see the face of a future TXST student walk around campus next year.

Secretly I am a chemistry nerd. I wasn’t too sure what I was getting myself into when I signed up for Chemistry. Surviving this semester has help me realized that Chemistry is not that tough. One thing is that it is time consuming, but with a little practice it is easy to understand.

One Act

On Friday, I went to go see the UIL Regionals One Act Play competition. The shows started at 4:00 PM and they ended at 10:00 PM. I saw 6 outstanding performances! Although the school I was supporting didn’t advance to State, they sure gave one amazing show and they very well represented my hometown. Watching these shows reminded me of my UIL One Act competition days and the amazing memories I made with my cast members.

MR Fest is coming up and I have been a little nervous about the festival. Not too sure what to expect since it is my first year. I have been doing my best promoting this event, but now it up to the people to attend. There is a to look forward to this event and I can’t wait for next weekend.
It has been a while since my last purchase of TOMS shoes. I love purchasing these shoes because they are 1) very fashionable 2) very comfortable and 3) are for a good cause. When you purchase a pair of TOMS, one pair will be sent to a child in needs. I have 4 pairs and I can’t wait to purchase my 5th pair this summer.
One of my favorite shows is Glee! I love the story plot and how each episode has a strong message. I love how each character is different yet they all one common goal, the passion they have for singing. Each Tuesday I look forward to watching a new episode and I can’t wait for the season finale.
I hate how tuition increases each year. Yes education is crucial, but how does one expect for us to get a proper education if the value of a class and book is expensive. Even competing for money assistance such as scholarships, is intense. Sometimes I miss high school where getting an education was free.

After reading about Fairy Tales in British Literature, I became more interested with the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales. Yes, I like the classical tales, but these novels seem to be more interesting and more for adults. I have now found a hobby for this summer, to read some of their tales.

Complete.

This week has been crazy! I’m positive that I spent more than 20 hours at the library these past 2 weeks. After lots of hard work, I am finally done with my philosophy journals. I hate the fact that I’m competing with a class of 400 students, and only top 75 journals get an A. Life is unfair, but what can we do about it. I’m just going to sit back, rest, and see what grade I earn.

I’m a little sad that I won’t be spending Easter with my family this year. College has officially taken over, I have three test next week and I need to take advantage of the quietness to study. One month of school left. Can’t wait to see my family and friends.
